This is a "full" week... I must finish my project draft by midnight Oregon time and I am so worried about the outcome... But...among all this, I've read a very interesting article for teachers which is closely related to what we are doing in this course! I thought that you would like it as well. So, here it is! Enjoy!

Hi Georgia!
ReplyDeleteI read the article and I think it is true for me especially, not for you and other classmates I guess. In some ways it is OK because in fact we had gone through the similar conditions while we were students and now we as teacher only direct our students to do the best for themselves. There are abundant of learning materials out there that students can access by themselves. In this way it sounds like we direct our students to become independent or autonomous learner.
I agree with you Hermanto! With the existence of so many materials available we have to become more of a facilitator rather than a leader.
DeleteHello partner!
ReplyDeleteGreat Article Georgia and thanks for sharing it. I especially liked the idea of collaborating with other teachers. I consider myself a better teacher since I have started exchanging ideas with other teachers online. This is especially important if you do not share the same love for technology at your own school and then you feel a bit as a Martian. Finding people who share the same interests or who are willing to help you, advise you and even tell you the truth when they think you are doing something wrong is essential in our job.
Looking forward to collaborating with you!
Marija
I love reading articles "scooped" by Nik Peachy! I will give the link in my second post for Week 8 (coming after these comments!) I truly appreciate your advice towards me!
DeleteThank you!
Hi,Georgia!
ReplyDeleteIt is an an interesting article thank you for sharing it.Now we do a lot of interesting work we learn how to teach our learners to be autonomous, responsible, collaborative, positive and so on.... We have the same learning process as our learners. It is pleasant to get to know each other, to post each other,to share the ideas and feel myself an autonomous teacher who has partners with the same ideas. It is brilliant to get to know a lot of new from you, from other teachers,to see your products.I am also glad to continue to collaborate with you!
have a good time!
I found videos about our week topic and the course. You may watch it is on my blog.
Have a good time!
Hi, Georgia!
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure that your project will be great. I just wanted to tell you that I really liked your idea of creating oral diaries. You should try it. I would love to.
You are absolutely right concerning the article. It is great. I liked especially Reflection 2 " I never ask a student to complete an activity I wouldn't do myself." In my opinion, teachers should always keep this in mind.
Still learning to become digitally literate,
Vicky
Hi Vicky!
DeleteOral diaries is indeed a great idea but...I am not sure I will manage to implement it! Still, I've got time till Friday to try it! Good luck with your project too!
Georgia,
ReplyDeleteIt was nice to “talk” with you the last Friday, I liked it very much, I was thinking on to see everyone’s faces, but not, anyway, thanks for the recommendation of the article, I’ll translate it and share it with my Mexican partners, Here we’re almost closing courses and it would be good to share it, I like the way he teach. Well, that is all, thanks for your words in my blog,(and for notice my hairdo!)
Poncho.
Thank you, Georgia, for commenting on my Blog.
ReplyDeleteYes, we are very lucky at my university to have the technological resources and technologically competent students that are needed to put into practice everything we are learning in this fantastic course.
Thank you for sharing the article. It basically says that we have the responsibility of keeping updated on technology and that we should never ask our students to do what we wouldn't do. Good advice!
It would be wonderful receiving your visit to Guadalajara, Mexico! Definitely a beautiful city with colorful nearby locations that you cannot miss.
Best wishes,
Maria Luisa
